Driveway Construction

Depending on the ground in the area that the driveway is to be constructed, we would excavate to anywhere between 200mm and 300mm. Then a hard granular aggregate, crushed concrete of type 1 MAT stone would be laid and consolidated to anywhere between 110mm and 210mm. in a macadam driveway it would be a 2 course macadam make up. Base course ranging between 40mm and 90mm, wearing course between 20mm and 40mm. With a block paving driveway the sub base would be the same as an asphalt drive but a 40mm sharp sand screed would be laid before the finishing blocks which would be between 50mm and 125mm.
